Job Vacancy – Fitter

FGS Pilcher, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, provides bespoke land drainage, earthworks, groundworks, construction and environmental habitat management services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitter to join our team and help keep our vehicles, plant and equipment running smoothly.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintaining our vans on a day-to-day basis, carrying out services and pre-MOT checks., when required.
• Servicing excavators, dumpers & rollers to maintain them ready for work.
• Diagnosing and repairing breakdowns on smaller equipment, including petrol tools, pumps and quick cut saws
• Attending plant breakdowns (remote work using our fitters van)
• Ordering the parts needed for servicing and repairs as detailed above

Requirements for role:

• Full UK Drivers Licence
• Previous experience or knowledge of excavator & construction plant. Maintenance.
• Experience in maintaining light commercial vehicles.
• The ability to carry out general mobile fitter duties.
• Good verbal communication skills.
